I’m self-employed, have a brilliant teen daughter and an eccentric husband. I’ve cooked since the age of 8, now the wrong side of 50 but still cooking!

I hate food waste (waste of any kind really) and I like my family to have something wholesome to eat at the end of the day. I use frozen vegetables, meat and fish (absolutely nothing wrong with that) as well as fresh and a jar of pasta sauce is really versatile.

I like to use as few saucepans and baking dishes as possible because I really don’t like washing up.

My top tip: Keep old baking trays to use in the oven, if something spills over it’ll make a mess on the tray but not in your oven.
